Speaker A

Hey, friend, let me ask you something.

Speaker A

When was the last time you paused long enough to ask yourself what you need, not what everyone else expects, not what's on your to do list, but what your heart is actually craving right now?

Speaker A

Sometimes all it takes is the right question to shift your mindset.

Speaker A

So today I'm keeping it real simple and short and sharing three questions every woman over 50 should be asking herself right now.

Speaker A

These are the questions that helped me reconnect with my purpose, rediscover my voice, and say yes to the woman that I'm becoming.

Speaker A

So if you're feeling a little stuck, unsure, or just ready to shift something in your life, this episode is for you.

Speaker B

Living our best life.

Speaker B

It's good to be alive, but it's best to truly live.

Speaker B

Let your spirit fly.

Speaker B

So celebrate the journey every single day.

Speaker B

Aging with grace and style in our own special way.

Speaker A

Welcome to Aging with Grace and Style, the podcast for women who refuse to shrink as they age.

Speaker A

I'm your host, Valerie Hatcher, and every week we dive into real talk, mindset shifts, and the kind of encouragement that helps you rise confident, courageous, and unapologetically you.

Speaker A

Now I know life moves fast, especially in this season.

Speaker A

We're juggling responsibilities, navigating change, and sometimes forgetting to check in with ourselves.

Speaker A

That's why these three questions matter.

Speaker A

Because when you slow down long enough to ask them honestly, that's when the shift begins.

Speaker A

Question number one what do I want this next chapter to look like?

Speaker A

So often we've spent decades pouring into others, raising kids, building careers, supporting families that we forget we're allowed to want more.

Speaker A

Not more things, but more fulfillment, more alignment, more you take a breath and ask yourself, what kind of mornings do I want?

Speaker A

What kind of energy do I want to feel?

Speaker A

What do I want to be surrounded by?

Speaker A

Maybe you want to slow down.

Speaker A

Maybe you want to write a book, travel solo, or go back to school.

Speaker A

Whatever it is, it's valid.

Speaker A

This chapter gets to look different.

Speaker A

And actually, it should.

Speaker A

What small shifts can I make to feel better in my body and mind at this stage?

Speaker A

Health isn't about chasing a number on the scale.

Speaker A

It's about how you feel when you wake up in the morning.

Speaker A

For me, I had to learn that wellness doesn't have to be extreme.

Speaker A

It can be a 15 minute walk or swapping one processed meal for something fresh, or choosing yoga or stillness instead of hustle.

Speaker A

So ask yourself, what habits are no longer serving me?

Speaker A

And what's one small shift I can make this week?

Speaker A

This isn't about Perfection.

Speaker A

It's about honoring yourself with grace.

Speaker A

Question 3 is it too late to start something new?

Speaker A

The short answer?

Speaker A

No, Never.

Speaker A

But let's be real.

Speaker A

It feels scary.

Speaker A

Maybe you've dreamed of launching something, sharing your story, or just simply learning something new, and you've wondered, who would even care?

Speaker A

Am I too old to start Now?

Speaker A

Listen, I launched this podcast in my late 50s, okay?

Speaker A

Close to 60, with no big team, no studio, just me, my voice, and a little faith.

Speaker A

You're not too late.

Speaker A

You're right on time.

Speaker A

So what if you started small?

Speaker A

What if you let your curiosity lead instead of your fear?

Speaker A

Start scared, start unsure.

Speaker A

But start.

Speaker A

So here's my challenge for you this week.

Speaker A

Take 15 minutes.

Speaker A

Grab a journal or open the notes app on your phone and write down.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker A

Or type your answers to these three questions.

Speaker A

What do I want this next chapter to look like?

Speaker A

What small shift can I make to support my health and my mindset?

Speaker A

What dream have I been sitting on because I thought it was too late?

Speaker A

Now, give yourself space.

Speaker A

To be honest.

Speaker A

No filters, no judgment.

Speaker A

This is for you.

Speaker A
